About Zambia
Zambia is highly recommended as part of any visit to Southern Africa.
It is often described as the ‘real Africa’. The country is famed for its huge protected wilderness areas and the South Luangwa National Park is home to arguably the most diverse range of game in Africa. Birds are also found in rich profusion.
Victoria Falls on the Zambia side is truly spectacular all year round. We work closely with Sun International’s resort in Livingstone. The resort offers 2 excellent hotels, the Zambezi Sun and The Royal Livingstone, both located very close to the Falls.
The warm welcome of the Zambian people and culture provide an added dimension to an unforgettable experience.
How to get there
International flights serve Lusaka and Livingstone daily and internal charter flights transport guests between lodges.
Health and Entry Requirements
A valid passport is required and visas are required by some nationalities. We recommend clients check requirements with visa authorities well in advance.
No inoculations are required at this time and anti-malaria tablets are essential year round.
Clothing
Light tropical clothing with subdued colours for safaris and casual attire for the evenings. It is advisable to wear long sleeves and trousers in the evenings to reduce the risk of mosquito bites. Winter months, May to Aug, are cold at night.
Currency
The unit currency is the Kwacha. US Dollars and credit cards are generally accepted.
Electric Current
Camps that have generators produce 220/240 voltage. Few camps have electrical power, however, most offer facilities to generate battery operated camcorders / video cameras.
